Paolo Celotto

Neldubbiostampo

Italia

Paolo Celotto, graphic designer since 1998, has always combined professional collaborations with his passion for publishing and typographic production.

In 2012, after attending several courses in lead and wood typesetting at Tipoteca Italiana, he decided to create his own workshop by collecting materials from all over Italy.

The workshop was named neldubbiostampo – filopoetic typography, where he self-produces limited edition booklets and other letterpress works.

In October 2015 he was invited to take part in the Forum Bibliofili Affamati in Gubbio, where he presented the first issues of his “pagineotto” series — small eight-page booklets containing poems (by Barbieri, Barp, Scarpa, Racca, Cavallaro, Costantini) centered on the theme of the letter and the word.

Since 2020 he has been collaborating with poet Fabrizio Cavallaro on the Intessuti series, which pairs poetic texts (by Bellezza, Deider, Poletti, Pasolini, Penna, De Angelis, Cascella Luciani, Galloni, Scalise, Longega) with visual artworks (by Fusetti, Longhetto, Bevilacqua, De Bei, Dagnino, Cavallini, Battaglia, Ceschin).

In 2024 he launched a new series dedicated exclusively to female voices, rogo di strega (“witch burning”) — the title of a poem by Sylvia Plath — featuring works by Carnaroli, Gironi, Racca, and Durante.

From 2017 to 2018 he took part in the annual international Letterpress Workers meeting in Milan.

In June 2020 he contributed one of his posters to 25×25, the exhibition celebrating the twenty-fifth anniversary of Tipoteca Italiana.

In both 2020 and 2023 he was selected for New Impressions, the international exhibition organized by the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum.

In 2025, together with the publishing houses Prufrock Spa, Collana Isola and Sartoria Utopia, he founded the poetry festival Spine.
Also in 2025, along with six other artists, he took part in PRE-HISTORIA, a project addressing PFAS pollution in the Vicenza area — one of the most severe ecological crises in Europe, tragically affecting the Veneto region.
