My passion for letterpress printing was born when I was a child, thanks to a Barbapapa book.
In kindergarten I used to build small stamps and machines to print — an activity that I kept developing over the years.

In 2020 I started looking for old typewriters to restore; the oldest one dates back to 1880.

In 2024 I bought my first lead movable types and, almost by chance, a small drawer filled with more type and clichés. I began printing in the kitchen, then under the stairs, until I finally set up my workspace in the cellar — where I now work with two presses: a small hand press and a beautiful, high-performing proof press.

With Microtipografia I want to give new life to traditional printing.
I use lead and wood type, historical machines and high-quality inks to create hand-crafted prints.

From cards to posters, every project is made with care, reviving and preserving classical typography.
I experiment with different kinds of paper — from Fabriano Rosaspina to the paper I make myself in my laundry room, Onsernone paper and Gesero paper — and I enjoy designing by matching the choice of paper to the text.
