Since printing has always been a powerful political tool, 15-year-old \u00c9mile decided to create PLP (Pax Libertas &amp; Press), a project aimed at involving any letterpress printer, with the intention of printing a message of peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">\u00c9mile based the project on two fundamental principles: no hierarchies and giving printers as much freedom as possible in designing the poster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">He immediately thought of an international project, so he involved three other printers: Katherine from Scotland, Matt from Australia, and Waka from Japan. The intention was to create a small group to decide on the basics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">The first meetings led to a few clear and simple agreements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-color has-text-color has-link-color has-am-futurismo-font-family wp-elements-aab1af1a6e8b74032ffd4d3ccbcc3d72\" style=\"font-size:18px\">free sheet format<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-color has-text-color has-link-color has-am-futurismo-font-family wp-elements-6cc456a8a24dc9cfb6c53ada19527b94\" style=\"font-size:18px\">each person would represent what peace means to them through phrases, colors, and fonts<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-color has-text-color has-link-color has-am-futurismo-font-family wp-elements-508a15deca0b51b365ccb83fab8852df\" style=\"font-size:18px\">50% of the proceeds would go to Amnesty International<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns are-vertically-aligned-top is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-045b24b2 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-top is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">The interesting thing is that yes, the letterpress technique is identical in every country, but the style of graphic representation is completely different!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">By purchasing one of the prints, which will be sent directly from its creator (with separate shipping costs), you will be supporting both the artist and promoter who composed and printed them, as well as Amnesty International: in fact, 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the organization.<br><br>From these principles,&nbsp;<strong>PLP<\/strong>&nbsp;became a space of collaboration without borders \u2014 where printers from different cultures could speak a common language through their presses, yet maintain their individual voices and aesthetics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-top is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image wp-duotone-grayscale\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/paxlibertaspress.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Immagine-9-1024x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-261\" srcset=\"https:\/\/paxlibertaspress.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Immagine-9-1024x1024.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/paxlibertaspress.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Immagine-9-300x300.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/paxlibertaspress.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Immagine-9-150x150.jpeg 150w, https:\/\/paxlibertaspress.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Immagine-9-768x768.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/paxlibertaspress.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Immagine-9.jpeg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A collective of printers, united by three ideas: peace, freedom, and the printed word.
